Presented in a tonneau-shaped casing made entirely from sapphire crystal in a deep shade of emerald green, this astonishing pièce unique timepiece is a horological fantasy on the wrist, and a technical triumph for ArtyA. Displaying a glorious Manufacture flying tourbillon on the dial side, and an unobstructed view of the mechanical workings of its hand wound calibre from every angle, this extraordinary model promises endless fascination for its wearer.

Sized at 38.5mm with a length of 43mm, the casing of the Curvy Purity Tourbillon NanoSaphir is crafted entirely from sapphire crystal, meticulously machined using cutting edge processes to create its tonneau profile. Released on the occasion of the Dubai Watch Week 2023, its striking shade of emerald green represents the creative energy of Dubai, with a nod also to the flag of the UAE, unifying the Seven Emirates. Not derived from a simple coating, instead ArtyA have tinted the sapphire at the molecular level, ensuring that its emerald green shade has maximum impact. Enabling the curving profile of the case to remain uninterrupted, the sapphire crown is place at the 12 o’clock position, and is faceted, giving it a diamond-like quality.

Visually stunning, the calibre is fully exposed on the dial side and its airy architecture gives a wonderful ethereal illusion of elevated, floating components. Comprising of slender concentric bridges, the hours and minutes display is openworked exposing the twin barrels which lie beneath. Fully showcased at the six o’clock the flying Tourbillon is generously proportioned at 17mm, and as it pulses, it provides a running seconds display.

The beautifully balanced architecture of the Manufacture calibre on the dial side is complemented by a reverse side view, where the immaculate finishing of the incredibly intricate darkened bridges can be appreciated. Beating at a frequency of 28’800 vib/h, the manual winding movement derives a 72 hour power reserve from its twin barrels which are mounted in parallel to improve stability and efficiency.
